VF on 24's - The Daily That Became The "Not So Daily"

The Daily That Became The "Not So Daily"
Sometimes the best builds happen completely by accident.
This VF Commodore was never originally meant to become a full-blown fabrication project.
At the beginning, it was simply a daily-driven car. A normal VF Commodore. Reliable. Clean. Comfortable.
But then the ideas started.
What if we tubbed it? What if we pushed the fitment harder? What if we put it on 24-inch wheels?
And once those ideas started flowing, everything escalated very quickly.
The 7-Day Build
What makes this build even crazier is the timeline.
Everything was completed within just seven days.
Seven days to:
There were late nights. No sleep. Constant fabrication. Constant problem-solving.
The workshop basically became home for the entire week.
It Started Getting Serious Fast
Once the rear tubs started getting fabricated, we realised this was no longer just a normal daily.
The rear suspension setup. The tubs. The wheel fitment. The amount of dish in the rear wheels.
Everything kept getting more aggressive.
At some point during the build, someone looked at the car and said:
"This thing isn’t a daily anymore."
And honestly, they were right.
That’s where the name came from.
The "Not So Daily."
Because technically, it started life as a daily-driven VF Commodore...
But by the end of the week, it had become something completely different.
The 24-Inch Wheel Setup
One of the biggest talking points on the car became the wheel setup itself.
The 24s completely changed the personality of the VF.
A lot of people thought it couldn’t be done properly. Others thought the car would never sit right.
But once the tubs and fabrication work came together, the fitment completely transformed the build.
The rear dish. The stance. The way the car sat on the ground.
It instantly became one of those builds people stopped and stared at.
The Fabrication Side
Most people only ever see the finished car.
They don’t see the fabrication process behind it.
The cutting. The measuring. The test fitting. The suspension setup. The engineering thought process. The constant adjustments.
Getting a VF Commodore sitting properly on 24-inch wheels with that level of fitment wasn’t a simple bolt-on job.
A huge amount of work went into making everything function correctly while still keeping the car looking clean.
Love It Or Hate It
The funny thing about builds like this is they always divide opinions.
Some people absolutely loved it. Some people thought we were crazy.
But honestly, that’s part of car culture.
If every single person agrees with your build, you probably played it too safe.
The "Not So Daily" was never meant to be ordinary.
It was built to stand out.
More Than Just A Show Car
Even though the build became well-known because of the wheel setup and stance, for us it represented something bigger.
It represented creativity. Pushing boundaries. Trying things people say can’t work.
That mindset has always been part of EA Industries.
Whether it’s wheel fitments, fabrication work, tubs, suspension setups, or complete custom concepts, we’ve always loved creating things differently.
Looking Back Now
Looking back now, it’s hard to believe the entire transformation happened within seven days.
From a normal daily-driven VF Commodore... To a fully tubbed VF sitting on 24s.
The build became one of the most talked-about projects connected to EA Industries.
And honestly, it all started with a simple thought:
"What if we just take it one step further?"
That one thought turned a daily into the "Not So Daily."
